About the Author

Catherine is currently a freshman studying Psychology at Ramapo College of New Jersey. Her work studying and spreading awareness of domestic violence began when her non-denominational church group, The Girls’ Friendly Society, elected her as Youth Delegate for the United States. As Youth Delegate, Catherine had to pick a topic to spread awareness about. Given that it was a women’s group, and they had just had a meeting where a social worker presented to them, Catherine chose to speak about domestic violence and violence against women. She went around New Jersey, speaking at several churches about why our attention needs to be brought to this issue.

Besides her passion for educating others on ending the plague that is domestic violence, in her free time Catherine enjoys photography, listening to music, and hanging out with her family and friends.
