Emotional abuse on a child, also known as mental or psychological abuse, is defined as behaviors, speech, and actions from parents or guardians that have negative impacts on a child’s mental health. Typical examples of emotional abuse include name calling, insulting, threatening, or even forcing a child to watch another child be physically or emotionally abused.
