1920s

The air is filled with the lively hood of a crowded room filed with cheer. With high rise energy, throughout the room, people listen and dance to the genre of Jazz. The 1920s is filled an era in which people enjoy to be alive. Coming out from World War I, just had recently ended, society is shifting to an era where they can take advantage of the growth of pop culture and the growth of entertainment as well. “What Ithink the 1920s are to me, is excitement in pop culture. During the 1920s, the genre Jazz held a significant importance and influence in our modern day society. Jazz, as we know, has originated from the lands of New Orleans, only to be played in American clubs.

Jazz itself has captivated American pop culture to transcend to different genres of music as years pass by. Even so, as Jazz grew in popularity so have the industries of clubs. Clubs have become popular in the 1920s. WIth the brights lights of the theater, to the live upbeat music, the club industry took advantage of American culture to profit off of them. Through advertisement and continuum of trends, clubs became a distinctive recognization of the 1920s which led on to the growth over the years.

When I think of the 1920s, the image of how their clothing distinctly captivated what it truly meant to live in the 1920s. During this time, fashion itself grew with the appearance to have a certain appeal on both men and women. Women’s clothing for example has sparked an interesting style and has its influence in modern day clothing. Their style of fashion transcended from an comfortable look to more of a luxurious appeal. Jazz, clubs, and fashion all took upon the idea of the 1920s which has impacted our modern society.
