About the Author

Emma Davis is a freshman undergraduate student at Ramapo College of New Jersey. She is on the Autism Spectrum and became inspired to tackle the subject of ableism after experiencing it in multiple ways throughout her lifetime. She is currently 18 years old. She has spoken on multiple occasions on the subject, first during her time as a delegate at the 2018 American Legion Auxiliary Jersey Girls State, and during a school board meeting at her former high school. She also takes every opportunity she can to educate others on ableism, as she feels it is a very important issue to be tackled. This site is one such opportunity.
